I usually like this place but they need better courtesy training. There was only 1 fitting room open today and after waiting for a good 10-15 minutes to use it an employee went in to clean/ lock it right before I could go in! I was the only person waiting to use it, and I was there -before- the 15 mins to close deadline. It really put a bad taste in my mouth. I put back the armful of clothes and cart I was willing to buy and walked out! She seriously couldn't have waited for one more person to use it, especially after I had mentioned how long I was waiting?!
I’ve always loved going to Hartville Thrift Shoppe! Love supporting their small Mennonite business and listening to Christian music while shopping!
Well they have done it again, expanded the store, still the same great prices, wonderful volunteers. Always organized and clean. Bathroom is very nice!
Make sure you get a receipt. The cashier up front failed to give my husband a receipt and we were both stopped for shoplifting at the rear exit. We had to prove our innocence in front of strangers, which we did. It was the most mortifying and embarrassing experience I've ever had in public. We were regular customers and neither of us have ever stolen anything in our lives. I have social anxiety and it took me a while to stop shaking before I was able to drive. We were publicly interrogated by the clerk in a loud voice drawing the attention of everyone back there, no discretion whatsoever -- we were made objects of public ridicule because the clerk in front didn't do her job properly -- she has to know the place has two exits.
My favorite thrift store! I love that for the most part the prices are all the same, per item of clothing. It's much easier, and cheaper, than each individual item having its own price. This place is also huge and has pretty much anything you need!
Although I found a few things to buy - the checkout line was 14 people deep. I put the items down, because nothing in a thrift store is going to be worth waiting in line that long.
Always leave here with a car full of goods for under $20. Prices are very good and money goes to a good cause. Can get busy, but if your looking for used goods this is the place to go!
My favorite place to shop. Haven't checked out clothes or prices on clothes but their prices are incredible and their whole purpose is amazing. Love love love! Their Christmas sale is something you never want to miss!! You want to talk about good will? This place actually has good will. Skip the retail prices of other thrift stores and find amazing deals and NICE items here.
